• What does Event Equipment do?

    Event Equipment are an equipment and technician supplier to the Entertainment, Meetings, Events industry. We carry a large range of lighting, vision, audio and staging equipment. For more specific information on the items we supply please visit our Hire Page or contact our Hire Department.

  • What times are you open?

    Our Hire Department operating times are as follows:

    • Mon - Fri - 10.00am- 5.00pm
    • Sat - 10.00am - 12.00 by appointment only
    • Sunday's and Public Holidays - Closed (unless prior arrangements are made)

     

    We will be closed from the 25th December 2009 and re-opening on the 4th of January 2010. For 24 hour support call us on 1300 134 841.

  • How do I make a booking for equipment?

    There are several ways of doing this:

    • Fill in our online Quote form and we will get back to you within 24 hours
    • Give us a call on 1300 134 841
    • Fax through your requirements on 1300 041 860
  • How many days notice do I need to give?

    The more notice we have the easier it is for us to accommodate you and ensure availability of equipment. However, we can accept bookings up to 1 day prior to the event, so give us a call and we will endeavour to help you.

  • Is there a minimum hire charge?

    No. All orders are important to us. Whether it is one small screen or a conference package for 5000 delegates our standard of service will still be the same.

  • How do I pay for my hire?

    We can accept the following payment methods:

    • Visa, Mastercard or American Express (service fees apply)
    • Eftpos if paying upon collection
    • Bank Cheque
    • Company or Personal Cheque (equipment can't be released until the cheque has cleared)
    • Direct Deposit - please call us for details

  • Can I hire a Technician to set up my equipment?

    Yes. We have technicians available to set up your equipment. There is a minimum 4 hour call out fee, but if your setup is during business hours we will do our best to minimise this.

  • Do you give instructions if I am setting up my own equipment?

    Yes. We can supply manuals for all our equipment on a USB thumb drive. We can give some instructions on setup of equipment, depending on your technical level, but sometimes you may be better off using our technicians to setup and operate your equipment to ensure a smooth event.

  • What happens if the equipment is damaged?

    If the equipment is damaged while you are using it then our technical department will do their best to repair the item at no cost to you. If it is something we can't fix then you will be liable for the repair costs. If you're worried about how you plan on using or setting up our equipment, ask us and we can give you some guidance to try and minimise the risk of damage. We are happy to help.

  • Does Event Equipment offer long-term rates for equipment?

    We have very competitive daily, weekly and long-term rates on all our ranges. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

  • What if I need equipment that isn't listed on your site?

    Get in contact with us! We don't list every bit and bob, and can often provide special equipment as needed. If we don't have a specific piece of equipment in our inventory, we can get it for you or at the very least, point you in the right direction.

  • What if I have an after-hours emergency requirement?

    Call our hotline on 1300 134 841 and we will have an Emergency after-hours staff member return your call.

  • How do I know what type of equipment is right for my needs?

    Our Hire Team and technicians have the experience and training to help match your requirements with the right equipment. Contact us for the right advice.

  • We are a non profit organisation without a lot of money, but in need of a fundraising event. I have no idea where to start. Can you help?

    We can help with your technical needs and give you advice on the minimum requirements you need to effectively fundraise. Under special circumstances we can offer you discounted prices, let us know a little bit more about your event and we will do what we can to help.

  • Are you able to send equipment on tour or interstate?

    Absolutely! We can give you a quote including extensive transport.
