Challenges
To provide a seamless coordination plan for the delivery and removal of large quantities of equipment into a public space with minimal disruption to the normal flow of the space.
Results
The event was a huge success with VIP guests and general on-lookers thoroughly excited about this momentous event. La Trobe University were extremely pleased as the event had been delivered flawlessly and Event Equipment had navigated the hassles of running an event in a public space to a high standard.
Event Equipments responsibilities for this event included:
- Precise Coordination between an on-site event producer working with La Trobe University staff in delivering and removing over 8 tonnes of equipment via both manual manoeuvring and forklift from 3 large trucks.

- Large marquee installation and removal
- Installation and removal of guest seating
- Power allocation and distribution to an outdoor site for both AV and catering purposes.
- Furniture and linen provided for catering purposes.
- Outdoor staging to cater for VIP guests.
- Audio distribution with delay speakers and dual LCD screens on 2m stands to accommodate the 200 guests in the predetermined area.
- Experienced crew with both public event and OH&S experienced were employed to deliver a perfect event within the public space.

Jas and the staff at Event Equipment did a fantastic job on the event held here at La Trobe University last week.
