Challenges
To produce a stage set for the awards that would ‘wow’ an audience who frequent many varied awards ceremony.
To work closely with La Trobe University staff and their awards content. Rehearsals were done in the afternoon to ensure the MC was aware of all relevant technical cues.
To have the dining area look distinctly different from the awards area thus layering the ‘wow’ factor in the way La Trobe University was wanting.
Results
The event was a massive success with all guests enjoying both the awards and then the dinner – the ‘wow’ factor in both areas was well received by all in attendance. Event Equipment delivered a technically flawless event without a single issue and La Trobe University were very happy with how all aspects of the event came together so smoothly.
Event Equipments responsibilities for this event included:
- Complex stage styling fitting of an important awards evening.
- Visual component that included 2 screens, 2 high-end projectors and switching equipment.
- Audio system where even distribution for guest satisfaction was critical.
- Complex lighting that included stage, stage styling, awards area and dining area. Utilising moving LED washes, moving LED FX profiles, static LED washes and static profiles.
- Venue liaison to ensure seamless transition between lead up, load in, event operation, pack down and departure.
